Iberia, Spain’s national carrier, boasts a vast network and a long history. But how does it fare in the modern skies? We recently took a trip with Iberia and are here to share our honest review, covering everything from check-in to touchdown.
Booking & Check-in:
Booking our flights on the Iberia website was straightforward, with clear options and pricing. Check-in was efficient, with friendly staff at both the online and airport desks.
Cabin & Comfort:
We flew in the Economy Class cabin, which offered standard legroom and seat width. The seats themselves were comfortable enough for a short-haul flight, with adjustable headrests and decent recline.
In-flight Entertainment:
The in-flight entertainment system was a bit outdated, with a limited selection of movies and TV shows. Luckily, the free Wi-Fi kept us entertained (and productive) throughout the flight.
Food & Service:
The complimentary meal service was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a tasty pasta dish and a fresh salad, both accompanied by a warm bread roll. The flight attendants were professional and courteous, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey.
Overall Impression:
For a short-haul flight, Iberia Airways offered a decent experience. The booking process was easy, the cabin was comfortable, and the food and service were good. While the in-flight entertainment could be improved, the free Wi-Fi helped make up for it.
Would we fly Iberia again?
Yes, for short-haul flights within Europe, Iberia is a perfectly acceptable option. However, for longer journeys, we might consider another airline with a more modern entertainment system and potentially more spacious seating.
